Cabo Verde Diving

Cabo Verde Diving offer PADI courses at all levels and various dive packages. We have two diving centres in Santa Maria, 2 Rib boats, 2 compressors and can provide all equipment for hire. The tanks are steel 10/12/15 litre (int/din). Our staff include 4 PADI instructors, 2 dive masters and 3 sailors - all English speaking.

To dive in Cape Verde means discovering a uniquely diverse mix of tropical and Mediterranean marine life. You may find shoals of fish in open water, alongside rays sheltering in coral covered undercuts in the volcanic walls, or lazily hovering in and around local wrecks. Cape Verde is a location designed to bring fascinating experiences and discoveries to all divers.

During the winter (January - April) humpback and occasionally sperm whales visit the islands on their annual migrations, whilst mantas, morays, turtles, a wide variety of sharks and large schools of fish are year-round attractions. Summer (June - November) is the mating season for the local turtles and these may be encountered underwater or on the beaches at night when they come ashore to lay their eggs. The underwater world of Cape Verde can satisfy the more demanding divers with caves, deep walls and wrecks and the tremendous abundance and variety of marine life.
